- An animation replacer for horses (if possible). If what we have seen are the final products, Bethesda did a terrible job on them. Oblivion's were far better, and that's saying something considering Skyrim's animation techniques are supposed to be superior.
- Characterization improvements, namely character weaknesses. I do not like the new "coax only" approach Bethesda is taking with the character creation (that is, you cannot have any weaknesses whatsoever). Dealing with weaknesses makes things a lot more fun, as it makes me fearful of certain encounters, for instance. Reward someone too much, and they will start taking advantage. I like it when games have teeth. I don't want to have to self-impose challenge, I prefer the game to provide it on its own.
- Proper fishing. I just can't wrap my head around grabbing fish out of the water with your bare hands. Does anyone have any idea how slippery they are?
- UI enhancement. The current HUD we have seen is one of the most intrusive I've ever had the misfortune of discovering. Anything to get that oversized message text and worthless HUD clutter out of my eyes will be worth its weight in gold.
To start.
