MP won't load. New to Crysis 2

Post » Fri Sep 16, 2011 5:30 pm

Hey everyone. I just picked up Crysis 2 today, I got it installed and updated with the Texture pack and DX11 updates. Had no problem logging in with my gamesas account it seemed, I could play SP fine. But when I click on MP It says Initializing Squad, then crashes and comes up with a Crysis 2 has stopped responding box. I have no problem running anything else on my PC. Anyone know the issue? I have googled it and come up with nothing really. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and not installed the texture pack and DX11, but same problem occurs.

Here is my OC.net profile of my PC:

The GameSpy server is currently down for mantenance. you'll have to wait until they bring it up again. also there are 2 more threads about this already

Ok fair enough, I have read through them, but like I said, I had also read a couple old googled pages regarding the same problem months ago, so I wasn't sure if it was a program problem or just the servers being currently down. I'll keep to SP for the next while, If I still have the problem after people are reportedly back online, I will repost. Thank you again.

Besides that, I started playing this with my current PC setup with 1 EVGA GTX 570 installed, and I could play at 1366 X 768 at 120hz on medium settings perfectly, but anything higher and I start to notice FPS drops. Popped in my second GTX 570, and I can run it on my Max resolution for my monitor 1680 X 1050 at 120hz on Ultra settings and it runs perfectly. I love this game!
