so... what happens here? I think, crysis 2 is dead... yap... cheater, and quiet server, u can count by your fingers to see how many servers are full and with players... bye2 crysis 2...

Crytek doesn't care PC server anymore... they leave it as you like to do and play... what the... ~~

i think that's 'cause gamespy is down right now. i can't even log into multiplayer without the game crashing. this has been confirmed by a buddy

Its down for everybody, even ps3 and xbox.

Is that why Crysis 2 crashes? I thought somethings wrong with my installation.

GameSpy Matchmaking Maintenance Thu Sep 15 00:00 - 00:30 PDT

GameSpy will be patching and performing rolling restarts on its matchmaking service during the maintenance window on Wednesday at midnight (Thursday, September 15, 2011 00:00 - 00:30).

During this maintenance, some players in the process of listing themselves as game hosts may not be able to do so. However, if these players try to host again, they should succeed, even before the maintenance is complete. Player impact should be minimal.

The maintenance is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.

As mentioned on other posts. The crash while trying to enter multiplayer (after seeing the "initializing squad" screen) just started happening today for a lot of people (presumably all PC players at least). I too was contemplating a reinstall till I noticed the related threads.

why didn't I experience it??

I ve played 10.00am 7+GMT, and then 16.00pm and... I got some servers with cheater... oh my GOd... today is my lucky day... ~~
