Victor dead, just started playing

Hello!

While doing the tutorials, I was heading to the Goodspring graveyard and I found Victor's dead corpse lying in the middle of the road. Isn't he an important NPC?:S What am I supposed to do now?:(

I am wondering the same thing. I actually haven't played since I found him dead as I don't want to get into the game and discover that this is a bug that will impede my progress.

Pretty sure Victor is needed later in the game. It sounds like the Bloatflies killed him.

The developers put in a work-around. Victor should still show up wherever he's needed for dialog, explaining that his personality can be put into any of the Securitron bots.

When you're on your way to Vegas, he shows up to say hello. In my game, he was subsequently killed by Lakelurks, then he showed up in Vegas with the above excuse.

I wish NPCs could only be knocked unconscious by "random" creatures. I can understand them dying when the powder gangers attack good springs early on, and recognize how that is different.
