Crytek! Look And Learn

This is how you support your game Crytek. Learned anything yet?

Nearly all signs had pointed to the end of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 patches, but in a surprise move, DICE has just released a new one for PC, albeit in beta form. In all likelihood, this is to keep as much QA on Battlefield 3 as possible before its beta and subsequent launch.

The update improves performance a little, increases stability under a variety of circumstances, fixes the clan tag issue (it's not clear if the 'remember password' issue is affected), adds the option to tweak the chat window, and removes SecuROM from non-Steam versions. Juicy, no?

That's like their old games, they release a patch that removes DRM, nothing new for the BF series
