I reinstalled Oblivion yesterday and star playing as a Khajit (my fav race), but this game were i spend over a 200 houres of gameplay seems not to give my satifaction no more.
I think its becuz i saw gameplay of skyrim, how much things were improved and it makes oblivion look bad, not only on the graphics but also in open world, even if the size of oblivion was big, you had a lot of empty spaces.
I couldnt really get into vanilla oblivion before skyrim was even announced its just so... ugh.. but yea even with fixing mods I doubt I could be motivated
I haven't tried, but I reckon I'd be in the same boat. Knowing that they've improved on stuff like the levelling, combat and AI will make the game seem stale I reckon.
Nope, can't get into it; can't get into any of them. Going to patiently wait until Dark Souls comes out which will keep me plenty occupied until Skyrim comes out.
today i saw a poll on here about "are you gonna play OB one last run" or something like that. i voted yes and ATTEMPTED to play the game. i played for about 2hrs and got discouraged because all of the new SKYRIM videos and info just make OB seem like it BLOWS... i tried to get in it, but i just can't! is anyone else having oblivion-tile dysfunction? :S
your not the only one.... why, cant it come out ALREADY!!!!!?????????? :swear:
is anyone else having oblivion-tile dysfunction? :S
Sounds like you need http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1224182-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom/. I've been playing with FCOM and have not had any problems in that regard...
Nope, only managed to get 81 hours on my PC :/ but on my Xbox i have played it 10 times more, all achievements. kinda, Spoiler.
Spoiler
The last thieves guild F**d up, last achievement i had, when the Gray Fox was talking to his wife (the Countess of Anvil) I stod there and couldn't move, as supposed to. then when they were done the Gray Fox walked away, not to me as supposed to. So i never got the Thieves guild house or anything, Lame.
I have a ton of mods that make the entire experience really nice. Yes the art is a little dated, but the story is deep and involved. I've spent several hours a day playing it lately and can say that I'm immersed in it though I wish modders would not put their clothing items in the testinghall. I hate that. Leave them around the imperial city or the likes for my pc to find. Now, just love running around in a very skimpy mage outfit, something dark, lol, especially when you run into male npcs. And Vilja is the funniest and funnest mod companion to have. She keeps telling me that she won't talk to me if I don't have clothes on.
This is a very interesting phenomenon. People get caught up in "tomorrow" to the point that they lose interest in "today." The "old" isn't really "worse" when the "new" appears; it's a state of mind. Future ice cream may seem wonderful, but today's ice cream can actually be eaten! :icecream:
I hope Skyrim can measure up to such expectations, but I'm afraid that anticipation is causing people to be unrealistic. It will be interesting to read these forums in a few months, after Skyrim has been out for a while.
To me most of TES experience is taking the lousy product they sell you, and spend hours into modding it in the game I envision.
it took me 6 YEARS, over 9000 hours to mod Morrowind into something I now see "perfect" though when I can think of more new things I still can go back. for me the project to do the same for Oblivion has only just started... so I can keep buisy for years to come... Skrym will have to wait till this new megaproject is done;)
Oblivon works after you put 250 mods into it,among them merged mods to have room for everything, specially mods that adds mod like b&m.elder counsil or expand certain experience in OB,like vampirism. Some small things like mods who allowes set them as essential, alternatively resurrect them (essential npc′s in your crowd.). Other than that it is a perfect game, specially over at shivering isles
