Anyone else not disappointed with.... anything?

I'm reserving all judgments until after I play. Oblivion taught me a lot about just assuming a game is going to be awesome because of who develops it.

Amen to that!

I've been waiting months to hear about one example of any game that's been changed pre-release based on forum feedback.

Edit: The term "feedback" is used loosely here, because in order to provide feedback, you need to have experienced something.

We have experienced spell-making, attributes, classes, more skills, more armor slots, clothing on top of armor, spears, crossbows, leveling after finding a bed..... etc etc. So far we know those things are out.

The lack of those things may not be an issue for everyone (myself included for most), but it is selfish to say "it isn't a big deal" if you have never even used said exclusions.

Edit- Just to clarify though, I'm excited for just about everything. The only disappointment I've had was the UI and 3D map, and those can easily be modded. They had me sold at TES:V.

I think there was something a couple months back that I was slightly disappointed by but I can't remember what it was so that should tell you the magnitude of my disappointment. In the end though, I know that BGS creates their games from the ground up and doesn't simply just make Daggerfall 2.0 or Morrowind 2.0 or Oblivion 2.0 so I don't like directly comparing one game to another; each of them are (and will be) great on their own.

The turn animation of npc in combat is atrocious. Its not animation really as the model just swivels in place.

Yes, we've experienced all of those design decisions that had nothing to do with feedback on this forum. So again, any game that has been changed due to pre-release feedback from people who haven't played it.

To be sure, the people complaining about Skyrim are about as useful to Bethesda right now as the people who think it's the second coming, that is to say, not useful at all. The game is pretty much finished and nothing said here will change much about that. In reality, both parties ought to simply reserve judgment till we have our hands on the finished product.

But the point was that this forum as a whole has an anti-complaining bent. Regardless of whether it's complaining about a feature a player does not like or a glitch that a player has no control over. We know for a fact though, that Bethesda is willing to alter games due to complaints after they come out (like New Vegas and it's patches or Brink's free DLC because of online play issues).

I, and most of the people that participate on my favorite forum, are disappointed by most of the changes in Skyrim.

I agree. I'm sad about some things, but not disappointed.
I'm very excited about most everything I've heard.
This game is going to be awesome, and I love BGS for making it.

My response to everyone who has a problem with the direction BGS is taking:

Make your own game, or deal with it.

Or make your own mods for SKYRIM.

I like to compare it to being a fan of a professional sports team. You may disagree with some of the decisions they make, but deep down you are still a fan. (unless you're one of those fair weather types...)

That is the case with me, anyways. I assume that if people spend time on the forums they are certainly a fan of TES to some degree.

I'm happy about this, actually. I had a hard time in Oblivion finding matching armor sets, especially greaves. So I'm glad that they merged them, makes it easier for me to put my wardrobe together. I always hoarded clothes, even the ugly ones, in chest or set of drawers, in my house. I just hope the clothes and armor looks better in Skyrim.

I hope there's housing improvements. If there isn't I might be disappointed about that... But I won't really know until I have the game installed and am playing through it.

And like others said, I'm mostly disappointed that I don't have the game to play right now. :)

Nothing, and that's how it works. The Devs have plans and so they have to experiment and see if they're any good. To make a change right now, may not be easy and would just take too much time when they need to put that time somewhere else.

However, because we've expressed our concerns now and will do so after the game has come out, the Devs will take heed of what they need to fix or change for the next game or perhaps even a patch of this game or expansion(s).

Duel Wielding without blocking for example. It's for balancing purposes and they have to try it. They've already made up their mind, however I think they'll find that the majority of us whether we care or not are just going to download a mod that allows us to block anyway, when we see that it's available. Why? Because it's fun and gives the player more freedom.

With the confirmation of decapitations and completely turning off the HUD, the great design decisions just keep on rolling in!
