Now i just gunned down the 2 powder gangs people that watch over the road to prim.
By them are 2 mines of some sort. i disarm them.

Now heres the part i dont get.
I can take the trap and i get bad karma for its stealing...
I cant search the boxes with ammo that is close by. its stealing....'

Now i can loot the enemy that just shoot me, why cant i salvage their camp and take what i want? bug or intentional , in that case please explain...

It is because they are a faction and although they are hostile to you.. they would not be to someone who picked their side... these items belong to them.. so stealing is still a bad karma action

I really don't see this as an issue. IIRC you gain +5 bad karma for each theft. So look through the crates and such, then take only what you feel is worth the karma hit. IMO if it's not worth the karma hit it's not worth looting at all.

it would also be because even if u are hostile to them.. u can wear thier armour and they wont attack you... but if u steal from them they will... makes it so u cant just wear thier armour steal all thier [censored] and not have to fight them
