It's pretty cool how many new features of Skyrim seem to hav

I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but I think it's really cool how much respect Bethesda seems to have for it's modding community that they have taken some of the best new features from the Oblivion mods.
Here are some examples I can think of (keep in mind I'm pretty new to Oblivion mods, I only got it on PC this year after playing it mainly on the Xbox):

The grittier combat with finishing moves: 'Deadly Reflex'
The new wildlife and environmental improvements: 'Natural Environments'/'Unique Landscapes'
The new leveling system: 'Better Levelling?'
Bar fights: 'Bar fights' pretty obvious
NPC's animating during speech: Personality Idles (although I'm pretty sure this is just a natural progression from Fallout 3)

Anymore?

I remember Todd explaining how bows are improved because of Oblivion Mods. It is nice to know they care. But just look at what they did with Skyrim already! New Voices, more dungeon designers, complete race overhauls, etc. They do love us they really really love us.

Agreed, the modding community here is awesome.

Looks like we might be able to denock arrows now also.

The entire overhaul to archery was based on an Oblivion mod (Duke Patrick's Combat Archery, I believe).

Yes, I am getting a lot of reminiscence from "Deadly Reflex" here. Especially the "slow-mo" before a decapitation and the like. Very nice!

People assume that they rely on their modding community in order to make a "complete game" but in reality they allow a modding community because they love the fans and they themselves are fans of the series.

Todd says you can denock arrows now, but he shoots it at the ground and then picks it up anyways in that one demo video

We've also heard of Vampire Thralls, something that more than one Oblivion mod implemented. I think that I remember that Terran Vampires included thralls, but Unholy Darkness and Training Cattle allowed the creation of thralls.
