Rain's inside buildings still.

As posted earlier by someone else, I'm sure I won't care if it's in. I highly doubt they haven't fixed it, but if they don't it's not really a game-breaker.

Seriously, it's not a big deal if they haven't fixed this, I never noticed it in Oblivion so it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm so tired of uninformed people posting about [censored] that was news 8 months ago, that has absolutely no credibility right now.

Todd actively played it at Quakecon FFS HE was the one who walked through the Tower while it rained INSIDE and jumped down on the second level.

While it will not prevent my enjoyment, I believe what was seen in the alpha will be in the final product, the reason I think this is because it's not exactly high on a list of priorities that make a game.

No he didn't. he jumped straight off the roof. I know because I literally just watched the quakecon video again

Then I suggest you watch it again, he clearly takes the steps down inside the tower.

Hopefully this will get fixed. If not, PC users are in luck.

No, he did that at E3. quakecon was a different video. and I have the leaked video from quakecon, which I just watched again. he didn't go into the tower again after he used the shout
Edit: you're thinking of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IfNx4y2rJU, which is exactly the same as the end of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic6dKnv3WdU, which is from E3

Not really, several attempts were made for Oblivion and Fallout, they either turned out glitchy or had major performance issues, the latter being the reason I think Bethesda will not correct the rain, it's just too heavy going on major open worlds, especially on consoles.

MGE corrected the problem in Morrowind with absolutely no noticeable hit in performance or graphical quality on my very weak laptop and although I've never paid much attention to it, I know there are plenty of games on both current relevant consoles, open world games, even, that don't have the issue. I highly doubt it's some drain on resources. Bethesda's just historically had some quirky tech work... like that transparent water glitch, for example.

I recall a fix for Morrowinds rain. I didn't know about Oblivion. And Fallout had rain? Regardless, in a few years, I'm certain (52.6512% sure) modders will fix the rain in OB and Fallout. I'd think Skyrim would be the same. So PC users may be in luck in 5 or more years, if MW is any indication. One can hope at least...

I would imagine that this would be far simpler at the engine level than it would be trying to mod it.

From the barrage of tweets Pete is getting about this, I would be really, really surprised if it wasn't fixed by release.
