First, even though this has to do with modding; console players, please voice your opinions as well!
I'll try to make this brief to avoid a huge wall of text. I make large quest mods (Ranging from 1-7 hours in length). I have made 3 so far for Fo3/Nv and I plan on making MANY of them for Skyrim. What I want to know, is what things you guys like and dislike in quests. Let me give an example. Something I have learned to never do again from my latest mod, Deimos, is to have a repeated fetch section that leads you to the same 2 buildings 8 times in a row. Somehow I overlooked that while writing the story, and people made sure they pointed it out. So, repeated-fetch quests are a dislike. (I.e. go get 10 plants, kill 8 wolves, get me this, that, etc.) Please let me know what mechanics and quests features you guys like and dislike in games and I will make a huge list to help guide me in the neverending journey to write the perfect quest mod. Simply post a list of things, and explain each one as is necessary. You can also post good things about quests that I should strive to include! (i.e. I love it when quests reward me with money.)
Hopefully this thread will go somewhere and I can form a giant list of good and bad things to do in quests, so you guys can enjoy my mods that much more!
