Will body parts sustain independent damage?

Post » Wed Sep 21, 2011 5:45 am

In previous TES games whether you hit someone at the foot or at the head you always inflict the same amount of damage. I understand the game isn't meant to be a FPS but character models based on body parts that can each independently sustain damage would add so much to the realism. Think of a marauder struggling to fight you with a badly injured arm or an ogre painstakingly chasing you with a crippled leg, or actually being able to make an arrow headshot while in sneak mode, it would be awesome. Are there any rumors on how the damage system will work? I did a long search on the net for this and found nothing.

No location specific damage which is a definite shame in my opinion

First they announced it would be in, but later they confirmed it was no longer a feature.
