Lonesome Road Critical Issue

Post » Wed Sep 21, 2011 2:08 pm

I will spare you the angry rant and cut straight to the chase. I loaded Lonesome Road onto my PS3 and from the title menu under the Downloadable Content section it now only lists Lonesome Road. I spent a lot of time gathering all the unique items in the other DLC's and I refuse to give them up. Unfortunately it only gets worse. When I actually load my saved game and go to quick travel anywhere it will load for a minute and the screen then blacks out. I can hear the ambient music but that is all. I cannot even load the in-game Playstation menu. I am a patient and understanding person, but even before this problem, after I finished Old World Blues, the game became prone to freezing and unbelievably bad chop causing me to have to restart consistently every twenty minutes, even when in the regular Mojave Wasteland. Fix the problem or don't. You can even keep my money, but I am definitely not forgetting this next time I go to buy one of your games Bethesda...

Same thing is happening to me also. This is the worst gaming engine in the history of games you can't even walk past a barrel of poorly designed fire because it drops the frames or if you start fighting the game becomes unplayable basically. This will definitely be my last purchase of anything new Vegas or fallout in general [censored] this game.

Im having a similar problem but mine is the frame rate goes down to about 1-3 fps when in the main map, when i enter a small building it goes back to normal but it takes 10-15mins just to walk a small distance and thats if im not attacked.

So Lonesome Road is having the same frame rate problems that Old World Blues had? Why am I not surprised?

I'm sorry for the problems you guys are having, but I wouldn't be seeking an answer, or a solution to the problems. There most likely won't be any. Unless you take King Bergman's "start a new character" advice into consideration if you even want to play the DLC. That however means hundreds of hours on your current character down the drain, and hundreds more hours on a new character down the drain, just to play a DLC that will only be a few hours long. I'm glad I learned my lesson after Old World Blues, and confined Fallout: New Vegas, to my gaming graveyard, for games I can't trade in/sell, but will never play again.
