No Attributes(Including Sneak!)

Post » Wed Sep 21, 2011 10:46 pm

As much of a sneaky character I tried to be in the Elder Scrolls As well as in Fallout I gave up adding points to sneak and placed them elsewhere. Of course due to this new system in Skyrim I can sneak all I want AND get BETTER at it. Any other thoughts on how this new system or any other changes to Skyrim that you are looking foward to or you think will enhance an already amazing game?

Wait, didn't this system work the same way on Oblivion and Morrowind?
You know; the more you use a skill the better you get at it. There are no menus to add 'x' amount of points to skillset 'y'.

It's nothing entirely new to the Elder Scrolls series.

Also. Welcome to the forums.
I would have given you a Fishstick but, sadly, I have none.

But here, have some icecream. :icecream:

There is no new system, you can do the exact same thing for atleast since Morrowind. and what does this have to do with Attributes which had 0 effect on your sneaking

I think it is awesome that they are implementing the thu'um and enhancing the dynamics of magic. The only thing about these aspects that I am disappointed in is the lack of spell creation. However, the nature of the new spell system may make up for this; such as charging your spells and dual wielding them, which will allow for personalized variation to some unknown degree. The raw potential damage of spells has allways best found in spellmaking though; through the spellmaking processes of TES III and IV I could make spells that do excessive amounts of damage and effects. Through fortification processes my mages could prepare magicka pools and then subsequently unleash mega-spells that compound to over hundreds upon hundreds of hit point damage within a single shot. I always enjoyed pushing the limits of the magic system, so I am half excited and have skeptical.
