RPs for Some Point in this Lifetime

I'm not exactly "confident" in my GM abilities, and these days if I were to do a RP, I'd plan at least over a month in advance for how to do it and possible events for it. But I don't exactly have time for that-I have college, life, Grayditch, and possibly even Mach's RP. Since, even if the latter RP mentioned were to never happen, or I were to never be in it, Grayditch doesn't appear real ready to roll over and die anytime soon(thankfully), I don't plan on doing my own RP anytime soon.

But for the future, whether it were done by me or another, I've had some ideas that I figured I may as well share, at this point. If anyone is in a similar position as myself, and would like to propose idea but for some reason cannot do it, I'll put the idea in this post as well. :] If you request such, of course.

Oasis-
The RPs I have seen have been about Megaton, Grayditch, New Vegas, or other cities/towns known in the game or created-and I realized no one, in my memories, has taken the conflict about the Oasis.
The idea was that it would be at least fifty years after Fallout three, so no earlier than 2827, and that "someone," made it so that the forest created by Harold's tree-friend, Bob, was growing at that faster rate than it had before. (Note: I am reluctant to say "Lone Wanderer," but even if it was, he would have been forgotten as that title or anything of that sort, and probably looked to as either a divine or demonic being sent by some divine source(good or bad) by those living in Oasis-depending on their view of the forest growing so quickly, in the first place)

And so the idea is that this forest has grown far enough, for long enough, to bring attention-and a certain group(or groups) of people now have the motivation to live within it or take advantage of what it might have. Making the still isolationist people living there suddenly have to fight for it in a way they have trouble handling.

I'm loose on the ideas of how the world has changed-the only plans I had considered is keeping the groups trying to invade/take/live there vary for the player so that those characters could work together, but didn't necessarily come from the same background; making the native people at risk of inbreeding, slightly inbred, and still relatively small(larger than before, but still small), and with a potential for some very slight cultural change. I was also going to say that Harold has completely been engulfed by Bob, and is in no way "there" anymore. The main reason for this is that I'm not generally fond of characters from the games being used, and feel (for this) that it's completely unnecessary, as Harold was never listened to by the people living there, anyhow.

The ending was supposed to be open ended-the conclusion based on how the conflict ends. The idea was that the RP be very much survivalist/interaction, and have some politics and other side things involved. Obviously, those living in the Oasis will probably have different morals, will likely still be very religious(possibly in a different way, and with new rituals/attitudes(I'd be excited to see this sort of idea creatively manipulated)), and still be isolationist. Everyone else could be anything, but might have a more similar culture to each other that was influenced by living in D.C.(And to decide that, we would have to decide the culture of D.C.)

I just thought it'd be interesting to see that conflict play out-it never really became a problem in Fallout 3.

Quarantine-
I think watching the movie Contagion is what made me truly want to do this idea, but I've had the thought since that "Olympian Vault" RP I tried to create, in which my only female character was a boy-crazy, problematic girl who had been used by her dad, in some way, during the New Plague. I can't remember exactly how, anymore, but the idea was more based on the "New Plague" bit.

The idea was that this would be a pre-war RP, taking place in one of the several locations locked down because the New Plague has spread there. Where people have to survive in a probably increasingly chaotic, limited space that is biologically deadly. Because if you're not immune, you are very easily screwed. The National Guard would likely be involved in controlling the situation, one way or another.

I believe with a few more aspects, or a very loose base in which anyone can be anything(that seems plausible), or both, that this could be a really fun RP. I even had an idea for how it would end.

Please let me know of your questions, thoughts, and ideas. :]
