What is canodia paper? I can't find anything on that word in google. I'm assuming it is different from regular parchment or vellum. Is canodia a type of oil?

Paper manufacturing has never been explained in the TES series, but I'm curious to know how it probably is accomplished. There are Guilds of Scribes in TES, as stated in the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:History_of_the_Fighters_Guild. So I think it's safe to say that there are no printing presses invented yet. That would also explain why books or so small and short. If there was a full novel like shakespeare or Charles dikeens, it would take 10 years to dictate one of those by hand, especially with a quill feather pen that you had to continuously dip in the ink well, unlike a modern day pen or pencil.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:People_in_Caldera#Canodia_Felannus I checked the CS, and it looks like it's just an unnecessary replicate of the plain paper item. So whoever made Canodia Felannus' house prolly made a unique paper for whatever reason, didn't follow through with the reason, and then people just used it in place of the other paper item.

No printing presses is not the reason the books are so short. That's a game play limitation. Real world, there were plenty of long books before the printing press. It just made the production easier and killed the job security of a lot of monks.

Ah, so it's a person. Thanks.
I wouldn't necessarily say a game limitation, more of a budget and time limitation. They could write long novels and put them into the game, but it wouldn't be worth it to higher an employee to spend 4 years writing an epic length novel solely to use as just one book in the game.

Any idea on what they use for their ink? I'm assuming they use hawk or eagle feathers for their quill pens. Not sure if there are those specific types of birds in Morrowind but I'd assume there would be lore-wise. Bethesda couldn't put in every type of flying critter in the game.

Morrowind is using parchment just like they did in TESII Daggerfall, right?
