My character will be a priestess/knight of Kynareth, so it is no big deal to me that Talos is no longer worshiped.

I don't care/other
While it has left me disapointed in the empire, I'm still not joining the Stormcloaks, nor the Empire. Wildcard ftw.

Thread title confuses my face. What does "All the the" mean?

Anyway, I doubt the validity of this info since it's not official.

It is most likely part Alduin's/Akatosh's plan to free himself from the mortal plane.

Read this from Kirkbride:

To kill Man is to reach Heaven, from where we came before the Doom Drum's iniquity. When we accomplish this, we can escape the mockery and long shame of the Material Prison.

To achieve this goal, we must:

1) Erase the Upstart Talos from the mythic. His presence fortifies the Wheel of the Convention, and binds our souls to this plane.

2) Remove Man not just from the world, but from the Pattern of Possibility, so that the very idea of them can be forgotten and thereby never again repeated.

3) With Talos and the Sons of Talos removed, the Dragon will become ours to unbind. The world of mortals will be over. The Dragon will uncoil his hold on the stagnancy of linear time and move as Free Serpent again, moving through the Aether without measure or burden, spilling time along the innumerable roads we once travelled. And with that we will regain the mantle of the imperishable spirit

My character is strong willed and even though she doesn't worship anyone, is disgusted that faith is being used as a political tool.

If this is true, then I'm gonna go ape[censored]. Talos is the most worthy of the divines, he was a mortal, he's walked amongst the leppers and has earned the right moreso than those born into divinity. Not only that, but to tell me who I can and cannot worship? This could seriously push me into siding with the rebels.

Perhaps this is a politcal move by Mede! And a person got to play the public demo and said that on the loading screen there was a message saying that the worship of talos has been banned!

Not quite, that is the Merish view on things. Alduin is not planning on destroying the world, its what he does and has done several times before and isn't something he has to plot, but simply do. The Mer believe that mankind was a mistake and that the only way they can get back to the time when they were all free of Lorkhans deciet and the creation of Nirn is to destroy Nirn and erase man so they would welcome Alduin's (Auri-el) return, but its not because he has some diabolical plan to get rid of man and free himself as it was never really a chain to anchor him.
