Samurai Armor

Post » Fri Sep 23, 2011 5:27 pm

I remember in morrowind the orcs would wear samurai esque armor. I want to know if there is a chance that it will make a return?

What does being in the north have anything to do with it?

I'm in the west but I can't have armor from the east? No, I can.
In Skyrim this should be no different.

Orsimeri armor in Morrowind looks like samurai armor, which is aldmeri design, not akaviri.

Also, the helmet and chestpiece of the Blades armor looks a helluva lot more like Roman's http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/30/Roman_soldier_in_lorica_segmentata_1.jpg than samurai armor.

No, Yokuda (well, what's left of Yokuda) is west of Tamriel, Akavir is east.

Akavir is east of Tamriel. Also, how would that be relevant?

Akavir is just a bit farther west of Tamrial than Yokuda, just like Russia is west of the USA.

I've never been a fan of southeast Asian-style armor or weapons. I'd rather samurai-style armor/weapons not be in at all.

On a globe, yes, but in order to give cardinal directions practical meaning we use them in the context of a 2D map, with Tamriel at the center.

The Blades were pretty much one of the few factions conserving the Akaviri culture in Tamriel and only one is alive now. Good luck pickpocketing him.

because people here are talking about 'eastern' weapons. This is nirn, not the real world with japan and stuff. If they dont have samurais on nirn, they dont have samurais on nirn.

Stop talking about friggin Akavir, he is talking about Orc Armor from Morrowind.

No, I highly doubt it will look like it did in Morrowind, or in Oblivion.
