Why don't Bretons actually look half elven?

Anyone else think they should have made the Bretons look more distinct from the other human races?

Because they're not actually "half-elven." They're a race of humans who have acquired a lot of elven traits.

Still no reason not to make them more distinct-looking.

Just slightly. Mainly to differentiate from Imperials. I never could tell the difference, besides the fact that Bretons use more magicka.

I don't know about more elven.

I think they do look distinct. In the same way that an Italian male looks different than an Irish male.

As has been stated numerous times in these forums, the lore tells us that in the TES universe, the children takes the race of their mother but can get some features from their father. That is why the Bretons are in fact a human "race" but they have cross-bread with an elven race so much that they can be considered "halv-elven" since half their genes (read: magicka usage) comes form the elves. Even though that is so, they are still strictly speaking human and should look as such. :icecream:
