I'm trying to figure out how big Skyrim is supposed to be (according to lore, not actual game size)

I know Daggerfall's game world was 62,000 square miles. But is this the actual lore mileage?
-Seems a little outrageous.
-What does square mileage mean - how many actual miles is Daggerfall vertically and horizontally?

Does anyone know or is there any resources that tell us how big the provinces are supposed to be according to lore, especially Skyrim?

If daggerfall was a perfect square, it'd be ~249 miles to a side. Any length and width that, when multiplied together, yield 62,000, could be the dimensions of Daggerfall.

Daggerfall is about the size of Brittain, it's not that outrageous, it's probably intended to be the actual size considering with the random generation they could make it any size they want, and it's clear they weren't trying to scale it down to a size appropriate for a game.

Well, according to http://www.imperial-library.info/sites/default/files/gallery_files/politicalmapqb8.jpg map (which is fann made and thus not lore) ther is 1062.5 miles from Daggerfall to Necrom. Which means, that it is roughly 312.5 miles across Skyrim. From Windhelm to the point on the opposite part of the province.

Bear in mind, there isn't any lore on the size of Tamriel, all we have is fan made stuff. Fanon if you will.
Also bear in mind that that particular map is not really all that accurate it seems.
