Will my Xbox360 be able to run it?

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 1:43 am

Weapons:
Equipping pick axes is back. Hopefully this means more less obvious weapons can be wielded so. I wailed on a dude with a pickaxe for a good 2 mintues towards the end of my first demo. The game crashed at that point, which one of the Bethesda guys said had only happened once before today (I was in about an hour and a half after doors opened for early entry) and that it seems to only be a problem with the old Xbox using this build. He said it should be fine on Elite and the new one.

EDIT: THE ABOVE IS A STATEMENT FROM EARLIER THREAD AND I AM talking about will an old xbox360 be able to run it or the arcade 360 and how to tell what type of 360 you have

...what? Your sentence composure doesn't make any sense and it seems like you're talking about 3 completely different things at random.
Clean it up please?

The game is.made for 360 and converted to PC and PS3. You shouldn't worry.

That was an old build, so it is hard to say. Also who knows if what he said was accurate.

You should just google your xbox (e.g. look at photos of all the models, look for identifying marks or look in the manual, etc.) to see if it is Elite or later. If you bought it after 2007 then probably it is.

Bethesda from what I understand is mainly a pc developer, so the game is made for pc........

Oblivion was a launch title for 360 and as such Bethesda has the most experience when developing on this hardware. They have always patched their games within one to three months after the launch of a new title and have: decreased load times, fixed stability problems so the game ran smoother, fixed bugs and glitches in patches and so on and so forth.

It doesn't matter what the game did. It will run smoothly within one to three months, it will be fine.

No, it's not. It's being made for the 360 primarily. Todd Howards own words. They are porting it to the PC and PS3. But it's supposed to be a good clean port, the same as a 360.

It sounds to me like the Bethesda rep was just trying to create excuses for the problem. It's also possible that the rep is a low-level employee who doesn't really know what he's talking about.I don't know of any 360 games that work well on one version of the console and not on another. Plus. this story may not even be true.

Yes, that is what I was thinking of. I can't link, it was some post here on the forums a couple of months ago I think.

Well if there was linkage then it wouldn't be a problem but since there is no linkage I guess it's just another argument then. No worries.
