Piss Off

So in Oblivion, once you gotten a certain amount of infamy people pretty wanted nothing to do with you. It made sometimes hearing rumors of "treasure" and even doing quest really hard because no one wanted anything to do with you at all. It felt like a severe punishment for being "infamous". Certainly, I agree that people shouldn't put up with a [censored]. However, at the same time I don't want OB in Skyrim.

How will infamy be handle in Skyrim?

What I did hope for is that if people don't want to tell you information you can intimidate them into telling them what you want.

Same thing with vampire. If you didn't feed for to long in OB no one wanted to talk to you at all. They refused to even get to the next point of the conversation to you.

How will that be handled in Skyrim?

I seriously doubt there is yet any info on that but...for those that wish to play "bad" or rather evil characters there should be a way around that, so the intimidation part sounds really nice! :goodjob:

We know nothing of vampirism in Skyrim other than that it might be similar to Oblivion. We know that the sun affects you more when you are more powerful and that you feed on sleeping people. So, we can only speculate what Todd Howard is saying is that the Cyrodilic vampires are in Skyrim.

As for infamy, well, people still talked to you. And bandits/marauders/vampires/necromancers had a positive disposition of your bounty was way too high. They wouldn't even attack you if you had your weapon sheathed and you can even talk to them and ask for "Rumors'. I don't know how that will be handled in Skyrim.

I'm not really sure I understand the point of your hostile thread title.

I don't know, but if I was a true member of the Dark Brotherhood, how would anyone know of what I did? It should be a complete secret. If I am a good enough thief I should be able to walk into any area and not be known for my crimes.

I felt that in OB a lot of people were basically telling me, "Piss off"

My assassin Sinclaire had high infamy and when he went to talk to a Hotel Owner I would go:

Rumors

They would reply, "I see no reason to talk to you,"

In the end that dialogue basically summarizes to "piss off and leave me alone"

That's right. If I was just an assassin at a bar that would be something different... But the Brotherhood? Thought it was a bit discreet.
