Game Hunting, My wish

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 6:02 pm

I was just wondering if they are gonna implement a kill shot kind of system with game hunting. idk if any of you have ever gone deer hunting, but there are certain areas you wanna hit for guaranteed kills. So what im saying is, will there be a system of kill shots. Say I shoot a deer in the chest/heart region is he gonna die for sure, and if I shoot him in a none fatal area he might just run off and live. Just a thought. Would be cool to see :)

Id like to think so, but unlikely other than headshots, which svcks, because I personally was always taught not to go for headshots when hunting.

Yea same here man, headshot are not a way to go with animals. But if they had a realistic hunting experience in skyrim, I would be extremely happy =D

Theres no locational damage for regular enemies, so theres really no chance of there being locational damage for animals either

Oh really, theres not. Yea if theres no locational damage for humanoids, then I doubt there will be for animals then.

Like I said, in a perfect world. Meh, its not my biggest concern anyway. Maybe next time?

yeah but there doesn't mean you can't employ tactics such as laying magical Traps (no idea about physical made traps) I do not know if you can pison arrows infact I've seen information that suggests otherwise. HOWEVER there is a downside. you know where you expect animals to NOT traverse running water? a previewer had quite the experience with a Deer who had an unatural affinity with water :)

Lol definitely. I was ecstatic about the deer in OB, even if wolves kept ruining my stealthy tactics, Haha. One of the first characters I make in Skyrim is going to be a Nord hunter. Specifically a bear hunter. I'm gonna go Jeremiah Johnson on those big hairy beasts. :D
