what movie/s does the skyrim concept remind you of

hello all,
wow we're closer to that fabled date 11- 11 -11 ; SKYRIM, it twill be heaven { or very close to it }.

i would like to know what movie or movies instantly POPS into your mind when you read-up :read:
or think of skyrim?
for me it's like a distant melody in the back of my mind commingled with images and the haunting scores
of a couple of movies.

the 1st is my favourite, "Willow". directed by Ron Howard { no, not what some of you are thinking  } in the
mid-80s, around 86 i think. this movie had a fantastic atmosphere and equally fantastic score. it was epic and i'll
have another look at it the night before skyrim come into my life :spotted owl: .

2ndly, "legend" with tom cruise. this film { i think } doesn't have much of a following these dayz. however, i'm
a major fan of it. def when i was roaming the forests in oblivion i was reminded of this film. the dark lord, mysterious
and mythical forest and such.

3urdly { ! } of course, its the "lord of the ring" trilogy no dobt for obvious reasons :ermm: :wavey:

so that's me, bye the way i'm no movie buff so if you've anything to add then do so.

think sound and visual :

what is the distant melody in your mind that rings when you think of the coming of skyrim?

discuss if it interests you and thanks for checking the thread out  ely.

Yeah, definitely Conan. The Arnold ones.

My first character is actually gonna be a spin off of the Conan character, just with the ability to use magic.

Happens to us all, http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/70/Tori_Spelling.jpg that is.

This place is addictive. ^__^

Ha! Holy Grail is fantastic! That one never gets old. :)
Cave of the Golden Rose.
I'll have to check that one out now.

Of Conan: There's actually an unused ThulsaDoom "Thulsa Doom" [NPC_:0002576B] in Oblivion.ESM, so I'm sure Conan is part of Beth's TES motif inspiration.

It's not a game. It's a book (first of a series) and a television series.

The 13th Warrior and Beowulf come to mind. It seems like no one like The 13th Warrior but I think it's a great viking movie.

It's all one word. I was making a Tori Spelling joke. 'Misspelling' is, evidently, one of the most commonly misspelled words, so it lives up to its name unlike 'phonetic'.
