Pete stated that you cannot block with one handed weapon,- but we saw a gameplay video from tokyo show that the player is Clearly blocking with 1 handed axe, there is no way the video is wrong.

One handed blocking: pete was probably wrong or didnt know how to answer that question, or this feature was removed or added in later build and pete doesnt know about it.

Pete also stated the you cant equip shields and the right hand, but there is one game who played the demo at Pax and claimed he could equip shield in the right Hand!,


Conclusion:

1) Pete might be wrong and feeding us wrong info because he actully Did not check the gameplay that deep so he can give us stright answer.

2) Game Builds at different shows might be different versions, so some feature might have been implanted or removed without Pete Knowing about it.

3) which is most unlikely that the player that claimed he could equip shield at the right hand is either wrong or a liar.
