Very Disappointed with Lonesome Road.

I thought LR was a decent DLC, but three things really stuck out for me. First, there should have been a storage thing that would allow you to choose which duster you wanted because I worked for House but got an NCR duster while only being accepted by them. That Vault 21 duster looked AWESOME!

That's only the minor stuff. I am really really disappointed in the lack of an opening cutscene. The opening cutscenes are like foreplay, meant to get you excited for the real thing. Lastly, I wish they would have used that classic Fallout ending tune that was used in Dead Money at the very end(possibly campaign too).

Those are my gripes. You may think they are stupid, but I really don't care! :brokencomputer:

Spoiler
I didn't like LR because of how linear it is. It wasn't like OWB where you can explore in every direction. You can even do that in the main game! It's composed completely of cells, the main area outside of the Hopeville Silo is one big cell, connected to the next arena by the Overpass. It's not like in OWB or the main game where it's all under the "same sky" for example.

Exploration is limited and very teasing! All of those ruined buildings you see on High Road just look so dashing to explore, too bad you have to stick to the road to get anywhere. To me, apocalypse means freedom. Not having to worry about the old world rules. Yet we still need to stick to roads? I know it's dumb to complain about but I don't like being limited in exploration. I also do not like having to be forced to go into the tunnel after the building collapses. GAHHH.

Ah, yes, CoD [censored] moaning about DLC's. Love it.

The DLC was great, tied for best, with OWB.

It had a brilliant 'lonesome' feel with the linear, action packed gameplay... I thought a CoD kiddie would appreciate that kind of thing!

Stop moaning.

If that was aimed at me, I don't play CoD. :3

Interesting that you titled this thread: "Very Disappointed with Lonesome Road" and then began your post with "I thought LR was a decent DLC."

i liked it i wouldnt say its better than OWB but its still good, im not worried about the duster much cause it doesnt look that great i prefer the elite riot gear with my desperado cowbow hat and sunglasses. as for the exploring you must not be looking hard enough cause there are some suprises in there along with the audio tapes, diary entries, posters, ED-E upgrades, and warheads to find.
