hey everyone, recently my game developed this weird glitch where my characters speed randomly changes. they will walk or run normally then every few seconds will speed up and slow down again, like their speed attribute changes from 50 to 70 and back again. i first noticed this happening not long after i changed the VWait setting in the MGE. i changed the setting back and it didnt make any difference, i reinstalled the game and it made no difference. i deleated all my saves and started a new character and the bug is still there. i've never seen or heard of anything quite like it before. it's not game breaking or anything, more like a scratch i can't itch, seriously annoying and i can't figure out what's wrong. has anyone even heard of a bug like this, let alone knows what might be causing it? i've been playing morrowind on and off for the last 3 years or so, and this is the first time i've encountered anything like this. any suggestions would be welcome.

Just to try something, http://yacoby.silgrad.com/MW/Tuts/IniTut/Initut.htm has d/l links for the ini of both the base game and the GOTY game. Replace yours with the appropriate one from there and see how it works.

My guess is that MGE changed something. Then if you do an uninstall/reinstall without deleting the Morrowind folder manually, you can still have trouble. The uninstaller works pretty poorly and leaves a lot of crap behind.

ok, it's back again. this is so weird, it's really intermittent. when my character sleeps it goes away, when he waits it's back. sometimes i load the game and it's fine, others not. i uninstalled it and made sure i deleated the files in the program files and the app data folder, ran ccleaner and eusing registary cleaner, but the bug is still there. even when i reinstalled it again my settings were still saved, so i'm figuring there's more files tucked away in a folder somewhere that i'm not aware of. i've looked around for where they might be, but no luck yet. refreshing the ini file seems to work but it looks like i'm going to have to do that every time i launch the game.
