Hi,

I have a target picked out for murder so I can join the Dark Brotherhood. I waited for her to go to sleep and made sure no one else was around. Though, when I tried to kill her, it took more than one hit, and I ended up with a small bounty.

I'm trying to do this discreetly, and see no reason how anyone could possibly know what I did if she yells out with no one to hear. I'm also trying not to use the console command to instantly slay her or remove my bounty. Obviously, I can't hit hard enough yet to do it in one blow, but considering she's only wearing cloth and I'm using a big knife, I figured it'd be no problem. At least in a more-real world.

I wish that, if your Sneak skill was high enough and the target's level was low enough, you could muffle them and just do the deed in once stroke. Unfortunately, I think I'm bound by the game rules.

So, is there anything I can do to either shut her up while slashing away or kill her more quickly, other than finding a better weapon/leveling? Silence effects don't do it.
