Refresh that the demo IS NOT the final build.
It looked excellent, though admittedly the Xbox 360 version is suffering with a lot of jagged edges at the moment (as is the PS3 version, I would assume), though this is not the final build of the game.

Actually there may be something new, look at the second quote in the OP I edited with key points

I may be reading it wrong, to be honest

That second quote you gave is just an expression, mate. Meaning to take in, admire.

I'm pretty sure when he said he was "drinking in salmon jumping from the river" he meant he was admiring his surroundings.

Thanks tgl! How come all of this stuff about jaggies and other graphical hiccups are surfacing now? Why wasn't this mentioned coming out of PAX last month?

I strongly agree with the jagged edges on the console version. As blessed as I am to be getting the PC version where anti-aliasing (which smooths edges) is present, my video card usually suffers a massive performance hit when turning it up to just 2x.

The reason so many jagged edges are present is due to the fact that everything is contrasted on snow, which is white. I don't think that the anti-aliasing is as bad as Red Dead Redemptions snow environment, though.
