I did notice in the 20-minute gameplay video that Dovakin suddenly unequips his weapon (as in, it magically disappears into thin air, he doesn't even sheathe it, which is kind of awkward) as the dragon is dying, and does some animation with his hands... but this is probably scripted, and not something that the player had to "cast."
Imagine casting a 10-second Dragon Soul Trap spell, then killing the dragon 11 seconds later... no, that would svck, they won't do that to us, lol.
Fixing the animation so that the weapon is actually sheathed instead of blinking out would be a minor, but welcome, fix. Of course the video was an old build of the engine, yadda yadda etc.
