Animals in Skyrim Not reacting to blows? (stand still)

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 7:53 pm

In this thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1233296-my-hands-on-impressions-of-skyrim-eurogamer-2011-thread-2/

In one of the points, the OP says that he attacked a deer and it didnt move at all or tried to run away. It stood there and took it till he died. I know alot of you seemed a bit disappointed (even though this was most likely caused by the early build of the game). But just for reassurance, i just saw a leaked video on youtube of gameplay from. . .PAX i think? Or gamescon. But anyways, in the video, i saw the player attacking what appeared to be a moose (could have been a deer), but when he started attacking, the moose/deer clearly began to run away (which looked pretty great).

So if some of you were beginning to get worried, dont. Must have been a bug or glitch.

Just a bug. I watched one of the eurogamer videos and a guy attacked a moose and it ran off very fast into the distance :D

It was still in beta phase (still is), of course there are going to be glitches. Every game has glitches and very much more so in Alpha and Beta versions. If you've played in closed betas before, then you know all sorts of glitches that can break the game or so on.

I'm sure there will be a few glitches, even in the final build. I know in OB some of the deer would get stuck in areas and stop running.

But thanks anyways!
