Better BSA Unpacker?

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 4:19 pm

iv been unpacking and repacking BSAs with OBMM for as long as i can remember, and my only gripe with the BSA tools are that it uses the "*****" folder select window. what i mean is when unpacking a bsa file i do the following open OBMM -> ctrl+v -> select BSA -> extract all -> painstakingly navigate into my deep folder where i want it extracted the bold part is the "*****" folder select window im talking about, when im using a deep path like "i:\game files\oblivion\work dir\pyffi\in\12 - quests\intergration\00 core\unique resources (BSA)" it can take a while to get there (even with keyboard shortcuts such as l-l-l-left arrow-g-left arrow-o-left arrow-w-left arrow-p-left arrow-12-left arrow-i-i-i-left arrow-0-left arrow-u-enter). so what im asking is if there is any BSA unpacker that use the same folder select window as the file select window(the one with the address bar you can copy paste a folder path into)? i know about bsa commander but i hear it has problems with creating the right path for the extracted files.

Unfortunately OBMM is it as far as good tools for BSA management. Perhaps you could raise your concern in the Bash thread though - BSA management is somewhere in the cards for a future update and it may as well be as good as it can be, right?

ok thanks i made a post in the bash thread as you suggested. this problem makes it especially hard when working with multiple BSAs in multiple different locations as the tree view for extraction location resets every BSA. :(
