I would like to see more weapon categories like more polearms like halberds, pikes, glaives, javelins or do the whole hoplite thing and go with a one hand spear you can use with a shield to keep enemies at a distance.

I found myself getting swarmed on several occasions while playing oblivion which eventually resulted in my death, leaving me to start back where i was roughly 5-6 mins ago in my last auto save. I know there are more people than me who don't usually bother with using magic so I guess it would be nice to see some more weapons like the ones listed in the above
