Are bethesda hiding something from the PS3 version?

If Beth made a vid from the PS3 version of the game, would any PS3 owner immediately recognise it as such? Does it have certain features (or lack there-of) that makes it recognisable PS3 footage?

There are those button prompts appearing in the footage thus far proving that all our footage thus far has been the 360 version... excluding the gameplay trailer that was released back in February/March (can't remember which) which was confirmed by Gstaff to be all from the 360, anyway. I would recognize PS3 button prompts in a heartbeat. Maybe Todd could, instead of saying "this is Skyrim running on the 360", say "this is Skyrim running on the PS3" or "this is Skyrim running at on our own PC with " when he shows off the next demo at a gaming conference, even.

in my opinion this is what is happening ..
XBOX was the worst console to get oblivion to play on, and they wanted xbox players to be rewarded for oblivions fail.
so they are ramping up the xbox tweeks and showed it so people on xbox would see it working on thier system since it was soo bad on xbox, this way they keep the sales for xbox roling

i think it will still fail tho because xbox is still the same as it was b4
i think ps3 and pc users will have the best experiance (why would they release that DLC for xbox users 30 days b4 the other platforms is what started me to think this way also)

i think ps3 and pc users are safe
its the xbox community i think will be let down

just my opinion

Well, speaking as a PC gamer I am certainly worried, and would be if I was on PS3 as well. I think it is pretty clear which platform the focus for optimization is going to be placed on. The fact that they are even surprised folks are asking questions about the other platforms is certainly telling. "64 bit exe, what's that?" Yeah........

I hate to have to say this, but this is why PC version is always infinitely better. Have a million bugs the devs are too lazy to fix? Wait for Unofficial community patches. Won't make things perfect, but it will be much better then before. Though I suppose there's certain things that just can't be fixed.

I thought it was because modern PC hardware is so far ahead that even a lack of optimization from being a port is made up for and then some by raw processing power... :P

Hehe, well you know my answer to that. Raw power can only overcome so much when basic optimizations like proper multi-core and memory usage are missing. You can't fix that with an unofficial patch.

On the PS3, such problems would be even worse. It lacks that raw processing power and it needs the equivalent of multhreading optimization and precise memory usage to reach its full capacity.

Basically this. Games like GTA IV would had run several times better if it was optimized for PC while now I've read several issues of poor performance (don't know if true, that game isn't my cup of tea).

Fortunately, if what people say is true, Skyrim won't be the case. Neither for PS3 users, I believe.
