will Trolls be Trolling Around in skyrim?

Post » Mon Sep 26, 2011 7:23 am

sirously, if i sneak to a troll in a cave and he wont notice me does he have his daily routine, or he will just "stand there" doing nothing?

in the witcher 2 for example trolls did stuff, like using a troll size cauldron.

"Can't say if trolling..."

Hmm... A little of "Creatures" AI would be good. Specially with the new improved AI.

I doubt trolls will have any sort of AI at all.

Trolls in TES are little more than ape-like creatures. So, they should be walking around but you won't see them cooking anything. It was be neat if one of their programmed "duties" was to gnaw on a carcass of a dead adventurer or something, though.

If a troll posts something, doesn't he/she wait for replies?

Maybe the Trolls will hold the troll-lympics in the woods... they could have the dead bosmer toss and the 200 swamp dash....

I don't know about anyone else, but trolls in Oblivion were terrifying. I almost never saw them until I heard that terrible howling and started getting the crap beaten out of me.

They will still probably wander around in circles like any other monster that is unaware of the PC, as much as you could call that AI.

I could have sworn I've seen a piece of concept art of a troll eating a piece of meat..I'm not sure if concept art is much to go by...But it could mean they do things other than just stand there drooling.

I like this idea. I believe there is a decent chance trolls and other creatures may have some type of routine other than just walking in circles. I can't remember whether I read it or saw it in an interview but, Wolves and foxes and other wildlife are confirmed to have dens and go on hunting forays and crap like that. Here's hoping he's right. It would make enemies much more real if they did crap. (Especially if you play a stealthy character)

I didn't find them to surprise me very often but they were a bit on the creepy side and tended to run about like crazed hermits.
