Favourite way to.....relax.

Post » Wed Sep 02, 2009 11:39 pm

I think I never relaxed myself so much with Oblivion (or even with a game) than when I installed http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25023 mod and roleplayed a tourist in those lands. The ambient is so well-done, well-integrated into the game, so full of surprises and new things to see/buy and so different to Cyrodiil that I felt like a real tourist on vacation.

It all depends on the character
my nord would relax in olavs tap and tack and drink some mead
my breton divine crusader would spend time in the chapel praying
my wood elf would go for a swim, or she might just read a book with some tamikas wine nearby
my imperial thief might go for a stroll around the imperial city giving money and food to the beggars

When Buffy gets near a waterfall, her clothes fall off.

Which is why other characters like to follow Buffy around...

Voted for house cleaning, although it's more house decorating - it's not like I actually get a broom out & sweep. When I'm avoiding questing I fiddle around with things to make the vanilla houses look more lived-in and attractive, even if its adding fairly ordinary things like a bowl of fruit, an arrangement of soul gems I don't need, a couple of books and a few bottles of wine - the good 399 stuff of course!

Manage inventory, sell stuff, hang out with the little family, and sleep. I think that covers it.

Steal things or read a book.

Or steal a book, and read that.

Or do Skooma until I break the sound barrier.

Just watching the scenery and the sunrise/sunset, beth did a great job I feel like I'm in a canvas.

Or read a book.

Or practice my acrobatics on houses, feels good to jump from roof to roof.

Ooooohhhhh so thats who i thought was following me i thought of turning around and speaking to the person but I thought that I had better quit on the ale it may be making me see things...;)

Yep, Drehdwyn was stalking you. She was curious as to why you were the only guard with numbers on you, as well as the meaning of 123123. She's still curious, but a lot harder to spot since she picked up a set of stealth armor.

@ the vyper

You see... you, unwitingly, caught on the meaning of 123123; it makes the reading more memorable, you read the name and wonder why the numbers (it also makes your char interrested... ...maybe on my next round i will take it easy on the ale...)

Yes! Multiple choice!

Renee Gade and Renee Gade II loved to swim. So does my current paladin character. I mean swimming at a slow pace, dipping under the water for a few seconds and coming up for air. Ahh...nothing too strenuous. All of this assumes there's no slaughterfish around, of course.

Dyan phor a-Cauze (the paladin) loves reading. I'm finally learning about all the lore in Oblivion (slowly) because she reads more than any of my others. If it's Sundas and she's in a town, she'll also spend most of the day in chapel.

Wanda Bone the freed redguard slave (now deceased because I accidentally erased all her game saves) never truely felt 100% relaxed. She had a constant bounty while trying to dwell in the Imperial City (or under it). She'd occasionally do time in jail just to get some relief from this stress!

Her most relaxing activity (truth) was breaking & entering various rich-people houses. The moments when she'd manage to break into a house in sneak mode, the guests would all be asleep or whatever, THAT'S when she'd be at her most relaxed and peaceful. She wasn't one to ever get too complacent you see. :D She (and therefore I) got good vibes while in sneak mode, even though our heart was pounding with adrenaline, if that makes any sense.

Igodah Go^Pe my high-elf wizard feels most relaxed when she's invisible! Sneaking around and and looting with a summoned creature doing most of her work. She drinks mead lightly, and will spend a day or 2 at one of her houses while getting shopping (and other town-stuff) done. I guess that's about as relaxed as she ever gets! She used to spend nights in the most expensive hotels, too, before she actually had houses and was an Arch-Mage.

Finally, my newest character (Luci Pheria, the dark-elf country witch) is too new. I don't know what she does to relax (if anything) yet. All I know is she's currently & frantically scouring the forests looking for a place (preferably a cabin) to call home. Once she's found it, killed whoever's living there, I supposed that's when she'll finally relax.

Arielle likes to go hunting and gathering ingredients in the forest, and she does also takes a swim once in a while and walk around in the cities.
She's also very fond of http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=64404 (mod)... :whistling:

Depends mostly which character it is. Usually its like: Do quest/Raid dungeon If both of these fail at low level :ahhh: find a good way to earn money within character "range"
Between the usual routines grab a bite to eat at a nearby city, in the evening sleep. After a dungeon raid, wash up, rest up, sell the goods i found, repair stuff, visit some vendors for some goods that are necessary.

In his downtime, the closest thing to relaxing my character does besides sleeping in his own bed, would be organizing his loot to decorate his house and the armory in his basemant. I also like to take in the game's scenery, but I don't stroll around for the sole purpose to sight see.
