So....upon reading Snow Prince book I guess I shouldn't expect a warm friendly greeting with my dunmer from the Nords huh.....or at least I don't think I would like one if this is really how the Nords feel about Elves. I'd like to go into a few towns and have Nords want to kill me, have them jeer at me, have them not sell to me, at least till I've proven myself or something like that.
And if all else fails and they still didn't like me I would cut them all down and make them fear me as much as the Snow Prince.
Would be pretty cool if you could find the tomb of the Snow Prince too.

Nords hate elves, especially the Altmer. For much bigger reasons than those enumerated in the Snow Prince book.

However, since the destruction of Morrowind, the Nords (at least the ones in Solstheim) are said to have engendered a spirit of hospitality to their ancient enemies the Dunmer.
A sort of honor-code: "We may have been killing each other for thousands of years, but we're not going to kick you while you're down. Come share our mead and warm yourself by the fire!"
