I usually name items after my character. I just enchanted a bow and called it. Haa-Rei's bow.

You could name The bow something like: frostbite or any other generic snow name.

true I was just gonna use something in latin or whatever. But yeah icicle or frostbite are great generic names lol.
Just trying to come up with something clever.

My bow, enchanted in part with fire, is called Vulcan's Fire. I use the Greek Gods as inspiration.

Simple stuff. Daedric Greaves with +int are "Demonic Intellect".
+INT hoods I call "Clairvoyance" with various "Lesser, Greater", as prefixes.

Sometimes I use flowery language but I rarely ever personalize items.

Except for her bow, my character names anything she enchants very unimaginatively, based upon where she wants it to fit within her inventory (She does the same thing with custom spells). Booorrriing!

Her bow on the other hand, is another matter. It is enchanted with drain speed, elemental damage and soul trap. Its name is Slayer. What else would an elf named Buffy choose to name her bow? :P

Anytime I make something, either spell or Armor, that is designed to help my "sneaking," I always calls it "Lightpaw's ____" This is in honor of an accidentally short-lived thief I created.

Hmm you could always try to incorporate all the abilities into the name like, "Bow of Ice-trap and Light" but that sounds a little boring. If you were going Latin anything Illuminis would be cool...

I had a Daedric Bow with 30 pts fire damage, soul trap and a small amount of light on strike which I used to hunt Vampires and Undead. named it 'The Inquisitor's Ardour'. I was quite impressed with that,

How I name weapons depends on what the weapon is and what I'll use it for. A lot of times, I'll enchant an unwanted weapon to get rid of an unwanted Sigil Stone (and then sell the weapon). In cases like this, I'll give it a somewhat funny name appropriate to it's enchantment, like these:

Fire Damage weapon: Flamer
Frost Damage weapon: Cold Shoulder
Shock damage weapon: Shocking!
Silence weapon: Silence! I keel you! (cheers if you get the reference)

Other names include:
Pain-In-The-Rump
Headache
Injury-plus-Insult

Other times, I'll give weapons more serious names. I made a dagger called Reaper that is so heavily enchanted it needs a Grand soul gem to recharge it after a single use. Enchantment: Fire,Frost & Shock damage 50 pts for 3 seconds, Damage Health 50 pts for 3 seconds, Drain Speed 100 pts for 1 second, & Soul Trap for a total enchantment cost of 1582. All in all, it's a nasty piece of work. Requires http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33279
A few others I've made are:
A bow called the Acadian Bow (named after Acadian, who came up with the enchantment combo). Enchantment: Drain Speed 100% 1 sec + Elemental damage X points 1 sec + Soul Trap.
An Akaviri Katana called the Claw of Talos. Enchantment: Fire Damage 50 points 4 sec.
An Akaviri Dai-Katana called the Wrath of Akatosh. Enchantment: Fire, Frost & Shock damage 50 points 3 sec each. (Don't get a whole lot of uses from this one)
An Ayleid Meteoric Iron Bow (mod) called Haelia Naga (which means Terrible Death in Ayleid). Enchantment: Damage Health 50 points for 4 seconds.

I also name them after other enchanted weapons, like these (an internet to the first person who gets the references):
Enchanted Warhammer: Aegis Fang (damage health weapon)
Sword: Icingdeath (frost damage weapon)
The Master Sword. Enchantment: Evil's Bane (10% chance of one hit killing an evil creature/NPC)

Yea that's what I do. All my enchanted stuff usually has basic, non-creative names. Hood of Light: 40 feet. Sword of Fearing Undead. Stuff like that. It just helps me stay organized because it's easier to find the exact item for the job!

If I start making names like "Mashtonger" or whatever, I'll quickly forget what their effects are. :shrug:

I have some names that are not so great(like the great butter knife) and some that are ok. Ex. Daedric Warhammer with 20% Weakness to Fire & 25 Fire Damage is Daedric Firecracker.

I can't think of any particular weapons at the moment, but I try to go with anything un-generic. Try reading in-game books, and use names of Ayleid Kings etc;

As for your bow, i'd name it........

Hell's Bane; (Hell, well you get the fire reference; Bane means something's weakness)
Or;
Soul Reaper (it captures souls, but better for a blade, nice if you liked the anime/manga series Bleach)
Or;
Arcane Thorn (Arcane because of magic)
Or;
Spirit Bane (Spirit cos of soul capture)

That's just of the top of my head :D.

Hope you like them, or it gives you some inspiration. :)

I take inspiration from the item itself and its enchantment. So:

White Oak Bow (from OOO) with 15pts Frost Damage becomes "White Snow".
Templar's Longsword (also from OOO!) with 15pts Damage Health becomes "Templar's Heart".

I don't really like to include the weapon type in the name, so I don't go for "The Sword of a Thousand Hellfires!!" seems a bit cheap.
I like to label them as if they actually have a name and almost a personality of their own. Templar's Heart is a ravenous beast, built only to destroy evil, it thirsts for the blood of its enemies (lol chaotic good), whereas White Snow is quiet, unmoving, much prefers to kill the enemy before they even know she's there (which is why I use her for sneak attacks).

Anyway, thats how I do it. So with that in mind, I'd go for something like:

Fingers of the Ice Prince - Of course theres the reference to the frost element, but also imagine the fingers closing around the soul of the enemy.

I decded to call the bow Ymir's Scruff. Ymir in Norse mythology was the father of all frost giants or Jotunn. When I think of Frost Giants I think of icicle beards, and the scruff I picture is small chin hair, from just a bit of that formed a bow (IMAGINATION!) His body created the earth so a bit of hair on him could have been a tree.

Yeah I don't make alot of sense.

I like it! I love all mythology and ancient legends. You just have to resist the temptation to name your warhammer after Thor, as I think thats a little overdone!
