Global Alarm?

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2011 4:30 am

Hello all, first post here...

I'm curious to know if there's been any official announcement (I couldn't find one) pertaining to the "global alarm system" that plagued Oblivion. I'm sure you all know what I mean but, just in case, it's when you piss off a guard and all of a sudden EVERY guard in the game wants you head on a platter.

I am the biggest TES fan (self proclaimed) and hate being pulled out of the universe by such a subtle error in programming.

Please share your thoughts!

:nerd:

Why does everyone pick on Oblivion, all of the TES games experienced this. From some of the playthroughs it appears to be fixed and region bounty is in just like Daggerfall.

I agree and really hope that it's fixed. I would rather the witness of the crime run to the nearest guard and then have a bounty, giving me the opportunity to kill the witness and prevent being caught.

Guards are supposed to be restricted to Holds so they only know stuff within the Hold not everywhere

Did you play any TES games before Oblivion?

Anyway, I think that something like that will be done and that not all guards in whole Skyrim will know you did something right away.

Perfect!

To answer your question - my Elder Scrolls experiences began with Morrowind. My dorm buddies and I each racked up hundreds of hours in that world and no doubt took a decade off of our lifespans.

Like @ 1:49 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6D1YI-41ao Python skit? If so we're all hoping it's not going to be the case for Skyrim.

I always found it amusing, yet annoying that the guards knew when you committed crimes, well, at least murder no matter where you were. Perhaps they have a P.A. system or they can telephone the other cities to report your unseen but psychically sensed wrongdoing.
