Skyrim release?

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:27 am

Hey folks. Not sure if this has been taken up before, but when will it release? Not the date, but the time. I've seen this countdown that is popular in signatures, and I wonder. Is this for England, US or where? I live in Norway, GMT +1. One hour after England. Will it come at midnight for me or for the Americans?

Do I have the chance to play it before anyone else?

It all depends on the retailer. They are the ones that decide whether or not to do a midnight release.

I'm hoping I find a Mom and Pop store to sell it a week early.

At first I thought you meant the date and I was like, "Really?"

Haha. I don't know, though, sorry,

Then I got a problem. Only 7-11 keep open after 23:00 here... Very well, seems I must go get my copy after school then.

Truth is, it's 11.11.11 according to the Nirn calendar, so it's somewhere near the year 2644 for us earthlings.

Pete said retailers are definitely having midnight launches. Just have to contact your local retailer.

The store closes it's normal time and then reopens at midnight to sell the preorders. They stay open for about 30 minutes to an hour.

I should think most of them would do a midnight release. What I'm wondering is if my collector's edition will be here on the 11th, I ordered over night shipping, and it doesn't actually go to store in between the facility and my house (I ordered from GameStop) but I would be a little disappointed if it wasn't here the right day...

This is using Steamworks which games on that usually unlock globally at the same time.. being Bethesda is an American company bets are you might have to wait. Of course we can petition to unlock the game at Midnight in the timezone for Christmas Island which would in effect release the game earlier than 11-11-11 for the rest of the world. :celebration:

I'm fourteen. No way I'm my parents are gonna let me sit outside Game at midnight. I'm too young to buy it anyway, so I need my brother to buy two. He pre-ordered twice.

I order my games online and get them posted. Most of the time they arrive the day before official release.

No one lives near a speciality game store?
There is a video game store near me that specializes in Japanese import games.

They hardly ever adhere to street dates for any game. After a game goes Gold, I start calling.
