So is there any word yet on whether Skyrim will have the same kind of heavy and weird auto-aim that Oblivion suffered from? Or does it take the (perfect) "Deus Ex"-approach (in that it's a perfect compromise between RPG-mechanic and traditional first-person gameplay) where your ranged skill (or equivalent) just determines how large your "reticle" (visible or invisible) or offset is, but
doesn't actually affect the path of the projectiles itself? I enjoyed aspects of Oblivion because it had more to offer than its faults messed up, but I thought the auto-aim was particularly jarring, and after trying several mods which essentially could only minimised the effect, but still allowed for these extremely odd occurrences where your arrows just seemed to magnetically snap towards your attackers regardless of whether you were aiming there I sort of gave up on it long before I completed most side-content.
If there is auto-aim, at the very least, gamesas could allow PC users the option to turn it off entirely (I'd suggest it for consoles as well, but auto-aim seems somewhat of a tradition there). It just seems like such an easy thing to implement (in that it's without auto-aim it's just simply a matter of;
Skill level determines accuracy offset / reticle size >> Arrow trajectory based on pull of the bow).
