I have always wondered what the rest of the world looks like at the time of the fallout games. Anyone else wonder? What does Europe look like or Africa? Im guessing China is the same off as America but what about the rest? Except Australia, they already have crazy enough animals so its safe to assume after alittle radiation and mutation that everyones dead

Oh and sorry for the tittle saying word instead of world. I took the time to proof read and make sure every thing sounded right so I wouldnt come off as an idiot but I guess I just my nature just came through.

-Depends. Certain North african nations would have nukes. South africa and Zimbabwe would have had nukes too, but only if they remained white supremacist... and given the totalitarian nationalism that seems rampant in the alternate universe thats not entirely unlikely. And having nukes makes you a target. So both those nations would have gotten a few as well as northeast africa. The Suez would have gotten nuked HARD.

Europe... Certain nations would have been obliterated. Denmark (my nation would be one of them). Historically speaking when they released the former east bloc warplans for denmark we would have been hit by 72 nukes at least. And we are a tiny nation of 5 million. We would be ghouls or dead. Most likely just dust.

Norway would make it. They have oil up the kazoo and the income generated would have ensured massive bunker systems buried in deeep bedrock. Sweden would have some bunkers. Finland too. And there would likely have been a "scandinavian commonwealth". Denmark and Finland as strategic buffers for Norway and Sweden, but with defensive capabilities and access to vault-esque bunker guaranteed in Swedish and Norwegian bedrock.

Germany would be peppered. France too. But both would have survivors. North italy would be a wasteland, and so would north spain. Schwitzerland would make it out rather well. The have historically speaking had a huge fetish for bunkers and fallout shelters so they would have alot of survivors and well... Switzerland wouldnt be a high end military target.... unless you hated chocolate and ku-ku clocks. Russia and china would have survivors... but most likely it would be people living outside of vaults who survived.

Greenland... West greenland would either have been annexed or been under de facto US controll. Thule airbase as the early warning system hub would ensure that it would be a prime target and it would likely be nothing more than radioactive bedrock after the war. Some Inuits or "Sirius" arctic ranger units might have survived... but it would be more luck than anything else.

Africa sub sahara would perhaps be the least nuked. Nothing to be gaine from nuking it.

Japan would have rearmed and gone for nukes of their own before the war, and they would have gotten nuked hard. And since most of japan is urban, not many would have survived even if some most likely did survive in vault esque bunkers.

New zealand and Australia would likely be least hit. Well... New South Wales would get it, but there is moer to Austalia than NSW. New zealand..... No military targets worth a nuke... so, no point in nuking. They would still have casulties due to weather change, radiation, fallout ect... but I dont see them as a target.

Sweden likely still have fun oh so very very fun climate shifts, hot as the savannah on summers while cold as the arctic on winters with a heavy fluctuation in spring and autumn.

Every country on earth was nuked/destroyed during the great war. Almost all life on earth wiped out. This is canon. Even Australia which there is a thread about, it died a year ago and someone brought it back.

Fallout One Intro

War. War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from it lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into and economic superpower, but war never changes. In the 21st century war was still waged for the resources that could be acquired; only this time the spoils of war were also its weapons, petroleum and uranium. For these resources China would invade Alaska. The US would annex Canada and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarrelling bickering nation states bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth. In 2077 the storm of World War had come again. In two brief hours most of the planet was reduced to cinders and from the ashes of nuclear devastation a new civilization would struggle to arise.

Fallout Two Intro

War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted; too many humans and not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons as always, purely human ones. The Earth was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing, an atomic spark struck by human hands quickly raged out of control. Spears of Nuclear fire rained down from the sky. Continents were swallowed in flames and fell beneath the boiling oceans. Humanity was almost extinguished, their spirits becoming part of the background radiation that blanketed the Earth. A quiet darkness fell across the planet lasting many years. Few survived the devastation.

Fallout 3 Intro

War. War never changes, since the dawn of human kind when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything from God to justice to simple psychotic rage. In the year 2077 after millennia of armed conflict the destructive nature of man could sustain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation but it was not as sum had predicted “the end of the world.” Instead the apocalypse was simply the prologue of another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world but war, war never changes.

Though since we are so neutral I doubt Sweden would have any nukes hit us... Probably some from Finland (SATW).
