Careful, it might be a bug that gets fixed in a later patch.

You can also wear the barter hat with it, I think the barter hat looks great with the helmet. BTW does anyone know of a way to turn off the sneak sight? I really don't want to have to pass time for daylight or take the damn thing off when I don't want it on. The sneak sight seems counter-productive to me, it makes it harder to see.

doubt they'll patch it, not all other headgear adds on. also, it looks too cool to be a bug it looks pretty intentional, more like an easter-egg than a bugg id say
but yeah dude thats the ultimate combo elite riot armor (+5 crit) + elite riot helm + beret (another +5 crit!!) im so happy i found that

The Riot Helmet is coded (or whatever the word is) as hair in the game files, so I think you can wear any helmet you want to with it.

They rarely patch dlc's

no not any, i tried it + desert ranger helmet and didn't work

If you wanna look good, wear the helmet with Daniel's Hat. I do that and as I've said: I've never seen any other person in Fallout who looked more awesome than my character right now.
I'm telling you, try it.
Edit: True: Coded as hair.
False: You can wear any helmet with it.
You can't wear any helmet with it. But you can wear most, if not any hat with it.

More like Riot Gear + 1st Recon Beret + Space Suit Helmet + Destroyed Slave Collar! Boosh!
