Anyone notice in oblivion....

...have Skyrim's dragon logo on them? (Correction, EMPIRE SYMBOL) I was playing, then looked up at the door. And I was like, "omg.... HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS!???!!!?"

Actually, it's the symbol of the Empire as well and appeared in Morrowind too.

Sigh, it's the symbol of the empire. People ask this all the time.

I never noticed but it makes sense with all of the dragon lore throughout the series.

That's right! Main cover. WOW. So subtle.....

Oh well I probably didn't know that cause I'm not a lore buff I never really read any of the books in Morrowind or Oblivion.

It's the symbol of Akatosh, I think.

Yep, as others have said it is the symbol of the Empire. You will notice it looks battered in Skyrim, and the jewel atop it is missing. I assume that *was* representative of the Amulet of Kings but I'm not 100% sure on that. :icecream:

Of course I had noticed that, they're right there in your face. I was more like "Hey, Skyrim has the Empire logo". It was also in the Morrowind logo (in a triangle, with the initials of the Tribunal gods in its corners.)

What's so subtle about it? That logo has been around for ages and is literally everywhere.

Yeah. So subtle....

I wouldn't call a giant symbol dominating every gate in the Imperial City subtle. :P

Not only was it on Morrowind's cover, it is also present on the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW_Armor_ImperialDukeM.jpg The belt of the Imperial Legion and Dragon armor in Oblivion, as well as on the shield of the statue of Tiber Septim (I think that's him) in the marketplace district.

I couldn't find a good image of the latter three, so you'll have to go in-game yourself to see those.

Fine. It wasn't subtle. I am completely un-attentive, and missed this logo which I now see everywhere....

Principle: "You don't start seeing things until you start looking for them."

Yes, I did notice it way back when I first played Oblivion. And I was quite surprised to see it again in a much different context.

I hadn't noticed the symbol on the floor tiles in The Temple of the One until Skyrim was announced. I was kind of tickled about that.

It's right there, on Morrowind's cover. On the main menu.

Come on.

Wouldn't it make sense for that symbol to be prominently used in the heart of the Empire?

It's all over the place in Oblivion. On gravestones by the water front, in the chapels, on the doors as you said. I'm pretty sure it's just Akatosh.
