I have played through Oblivion about half a dozen times with different characters, but I've never allowed myself to become a vampire. Why? Because they svck.
Actually, they
don't svck! That's the whole problem, vampires are suppposed to
svck blood, but the vamps in Oblivion merely leaned over their vamps, and we were supposed to imagine them svcking. There was no struggle. No fight, no fear from the victim. Instead, he or she would just lie there while this assault occured. I always drain my victim's health a little after the feeding is done, at least this makes them actually react.
So I voted "more powerful". Not because I want to have extra powers or anything, but because I wanna see vamps make more of a difference when they attack, without me having to rolplay this difference artificially. Would be nice to see
some extra powers, though. Vamps in D&D could turn into a "gaseous form" (similar to invisibility), or a bat, and they could summon wolves and/or bats.
Also NO MESSING WITH MY CHARACTER'S FACE. A fully fed Cyrodillic vampire is a vampire indistinguishable from mortals.
Ha ha truth. They only age massively as they're dying, at least that's how it's done in the movies.
Also, vampires (as undead beings) should
not be affected by normal weapons. Only silver and magical.
