Their bodies burn up when they die, but I see no reason why we can't get parts from a still living dragon.

Other then them being 3 Ton Winged Engines Of Fiery Death, no, no reason.

We are able to craft dragon armor and possibly dragon weapons with smithing so I don't see why we won't be able to harvest dragon parts for alchemy.

Yeah, exactly.

Dragon bone is confirmed as being used to create both variants of Dragon Armor (light and heavy).

No confirmation on other possible resources yet, but something like dragon fangs would be neat for alchemy. As others have said, you'll be hard pressed to get resources from a dragon since they burn up upon death, and it's not like you can pickpocket their heart :P

Indeed.
Would br fun make some interresting potions, but I'll stick to smithing myself.

Since my main character is going to be an alchemist I would love to make potions out of Dragon material. It would either be extremely valuable, and/or have amazing effects.

You might be able to collect dragon's blood from the bone marrow in the bones...not too tough. It's not quite the same, but is the same result.

As long as its really rare and not something that's too overpowering, I'd be fine with it.

I'm not sure what parts this would correspond to, but definitely Dragon Armor and Weapons (bones or scales maybe?) which should be pretty powerful but not quite the best in the game, as I think the most powerful equipment should be found at the bottom of the deepest darkest dungeons myself. Apart from that, maybe Dragon's blood could be a potion ingredient, but nothing else really, seeing as we already get their souls as well.
