Idea for a foliage mod for Skyrim

Here's a realistic foliage mod for Oblivion. Hopefully we can get artists like this on board once the game is released.

Here's another in a full view. The usage is on the right side of the screen

Aye but we're edging closer to exact realism with most high end games now. Will be nice to see what can be pushed on the Skyrim system.

Wow... those screenshots are nuts.

I have no idea what the foliage in Skyrim is really going to look like though. I'm going to hold off on mod ideas until I actually see the place. I usually am a visuals [censored], though, and I download every decent retexturing mod I can get my greasy fingers on.

I do know one mod that I will most certainly need right away: Arrow speed.

For whatever reason, Bethesda = Terrible when it comes to arrow velocity.

Yes, they look great, but I prefer actual gameplay over pretty looking trees and flowers.

True but if they decided to release Skyrim with Daggerfall graphics, people would flip.

That's just silly, I mean acceptable graphics that aren't at the very top of the chart, but nonetheless, I prefer gameplay over graphics.

I agree with you, gameplay always first but with that in mind, we know we'll get great gameplay from Bethesda for the most part. Graphics allow the game to pull you in further into the environment. Content = Story, Gameplay, Music/Sound and Graphics. Never stop striving for the best in all avenues.

Texture packs always follow pretty quickly - I'm sure we'll see better foliage textures at some point.

Not bad, not bad at all. But I can't stand different texture qualities throughout the world. You immediately see where something looks off.
