We are definetly getting varied environments right?

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:56 am

What I loved about Oblivion was the lush, vibrant environments(at the time they were amazing now they look to cartoonish)

All I have seen from Skyrim is cold, dreary dark environements(which I will love also) but want to have that lush, colorful environment also. I saw one shot in the offiical trailer of a very green area with a deer but other then that not much else

I hope I am pleasently surprised.

There are lots of varied terrain types. The search button is in the upper right.

Yes we are fellow forum-mate, no need to panic, we're getting mountain tops, forests, volcanic tundra, the list goes on, but I can assure you that there will be more than one type of environment.

You didn't ask for screenshots. All you wanted was reassurance, right? There was a thread about the various terrain types not long ago.

Theres two different pine forests (one in the bottom center and one in the top left), one fall forest (bottom right), and a large canyon to the west. Theres also volcanic tundra and a marsh somewhere in there. And glacial caves somewhere in the north.

I've only seen an official map that identifies the different regions. Sorry. http://skyrimguild.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Skyrim-map.png

Edit: Those are some general pictures, not the specific ones you ask for I think. Still, a good amount of variation in here.
