I was wondering, after playing the game several times, in one of the endings theres a picture of fiends, mostly using energy weapons. though some, but not all use energy weapons actually in-game... so whats they're deal? I thought energy weapons was they're thing. In-game at high levels they're using varmnit rifles, and knives. with maybe two others, one equipped with a laser rifle, and the other with the RCW.

They are drugged up crazy people. Not a well organized group. They use whatever weapons they can get their hands on. They are high on chems, so I don't think they care if they are only armed with a pool cue going up against a guy with Power Armour and enough guns and ammo for a small army.
