Slow down speed monkey

Will you stumble upon the different cities and towns naturally or will you spend your first couple of hours in Skyrim speed traveling around to the different cities/towns/unique locations to see everything?

Also, if a kid is a little too close to a rushing river, will you bump him in?

I tend to save the fast traveling till way later in the game that way I can rank up my acrobatics, athletics, block, blade, etc. by fighting enemies I encounter on the way, swimming, jumping lol you get the idea anyway this way allows me to discover potential points of interest as well

I will try to spread out the discovery as much as I can. operating out of one town, them moving on to another when the work becomes stale. I think I might even roleplay becoming part of a community for a while, maybe Riverwood, since it seems familiar by now. I'd set out adventuring after a while and see where the wind takes me.

and no, no bumping children in rushing rivers for me.

Definitely going to try to pace myself. I don't really want to discover a cool location without having it be put into proper context because I don't understand the world/lore/setting yet.

I'll be exploring first, trying to level up and gain money before anything else.

Ya know, I've been trying to tell myself what I'm gonna do the first time through, and how I'm gonna play. Besides my race and class, which I already have decided, I'm just gonna do whatever flows the most for me at the moment. However fast/slow that may be.

Cool, that would be a fun way to go about playing Skyrim for the first time.
